But what exactly does the word "coruscate" mean: "Cor·us·cate," is a verb that means to sparkle or reflect light brilliantly. This perfectly encapsulates the essence of our brand and mission. We firmly believe that every individual possesses an inherent spark within them, a unique brilliance waiting to be unleashed upon the world. Through artistry and craftsmanship, we aim to ignite that spark within you. We take joy and honor in helping you "Find Your Sparkle" and reflect it out into our world, making it a brighter, more beautiful place.
At Coruscate Leather & Co., we have a deep desire to contribute to your journey of self-expression and self-discovery. We believe that by indulging in the beauty and luxury of our handcrafted creations, you will feel empowerment and confidence that radiates to those around you. So, whether you're seeking a timeless accessory or a unique statement piece, we invite you to embark on this extraordinary journey of finding your true sparkle with us.
Where did the idea of Coruscate come from?
The idea for Coruscate came to me during a particularly dark time in my life. I was going through a huge shift in my personal life that led to me feeling lost and dark. I felt that I had lost that certain individual sparkle that we all have inside of us. That specific twinkle that sets us apart from everyone else.
It was around this time that a local group of women invited me to a sewing class. My great grandmother had been a seamstress and had taught me to use a sewing machine when I was younger.
I walked in that classroom empty handed and broken and I was suddenly surrounded with laughter, love and piles of fabrics. So many textures and colors of the different fabrics, so much creative freedom - it was transforming.
I made my first bag that day and started my journey back to myself. It was a maroon and navy-blue corduroy reversible tote bag with turquoise hand embroidered embellishments. I still have that bag. It hangs on the corner of the inspiration board that decorates the wall of my shop. As I finished the last stitches that afternoon my soul was sparkling and I realized that I recognized myself again in that moment.
Blessings and Love,
